Baby Chicks: Easter Egger Female Reviews

4.9 Rating 210 Reviews
Working with my pet chicken was a great experience. They have lots of great resources on their website and great customer service. I ordered 6 chicks and was very nervous because my chicks were delayed in the mail an extra day (usps issue, not my pet chicken). I sent an email to my pet chicken expressing my concerns with the delay and they got back to me super fast and reassured me everything would be alright. Sure enough all the chicks arrived in great health. I’ve had no issues with them (had them about a week now) and all are eating drinking and very happy little chicks ! I would buy from them again!

My stunning Easter bear! It's been only few days, but she's very calm, quiet and friendly with other baby chicks. She loves eating, hence she grew a lot already! Today I spotted how she got excited to find some grubs near the brooder, which made me very happy!

We ordered five EEs total. They all arrived healthy and lively. We were really hoping for a good mix of colors and couldn’t be happier. Each hen has grow into a different color and they’re all beautiful! I love Easter Eggers because there is always a chance you’ll get a rainbow of plumage colors and it’s so fun to see what your chicks will grow into. Ours are both silver and gold based, duckwing, partridge, pencilled, all with muffs and most with beards. Thank you MPC for such a good variety! Personalities vary, but generally they are all curious, easy going with the their flock mates, and middle to lower down in the pecking order. A few are a little skittish (one kind of comically so). They’ll follow me around and eat from my hand, but avoid getting picked up more so than my friendlier dual purpose breeds (Orpington, Sussex, Wyandotte, Marans). They aren’t loving the summer heat here in Arizona (same tbh) and some of them seem to be having a harder time with the heat that the single comb, beardless breeds in the flock which makes sense. Water dishes, shade, and misting fans have helped tremendously though. When it’s slightly less awful out in the mornings and evenings, they’re active foragers and great bug hunters. They just started laying at 22 weeks. Of the four that are laying so far, one is laying slightly bluer than the rest and the others are laying greener eggs. Love these girls!
