The Welsummer is a beautiful chicken with it's orange/red feathers. The dark brown splotchy eggs wil give some variety to the light creamy brown eggs I currently get from my hens. The Welsummer seems docile, curious, and content. She is adapting to being held, will be a great addition to our flock.

She arrived healthy and perky. She is going to be a beauty as well. I gave only 3 stars because she has a couple of crooked toes on one foot. It’s not slowing her down but not sure if will be an issue when trying to roost. I have received a total of 5 pullets and she is only one with a deformity.

So sweet. She runs to me. Gorgeous feather details in the sun. Eggs are very dark with speckles day old in March layer for me in September. Worth the wait for sure. I love her.

It took a LONG time for my Welsummer to begin laying, but she did. She has gone broody now so I ordered fertilized eggs and put them under her. She hatched them out like a champ. She is quite beautiful and I love her even if she never lays another egg.
