Custom Amish-Built All-In-One 5'x7' Chicken Coop plus Run (up to 9 chickens) Reviews

4.5 Rating 2 Reviews
I am glad I went with the 5x7 coop/run for my six chickens. They use every inch of it. I was a little surprised the wheels were underneath the coop inside the run itself. The photo shows them on the outside of the coop. But it is very well built and I am happy with it. I spent a few days making it more predator resistant when it arrived by decreasing the gap between the door and its frame with additional trim. I also added gutters made out of PVC pipe materials along the front and back. The total cost of adding my own PVC gutters was about $30 including matching PVC paint. I did find some massive nails (2.5 inches+) sticking through the walls into the run underneath the coop. If a chicken ran into one of these it would likely cause serious injury. I ended up padding them using a tiny paint roller and tape to keep the chickens from getting hurt on them. Someday, if I move the coop, I might jack it up and use a dremel tool to remove the nails completely but this should work for a while. Overall, a very nice coop at a good price.

I ordered this coop and had it built to match my barn. The construction is of high quality, and the design mirrors the other buildings on my farm. The ordering process was a challenge, but the final structure turned out very well.
