“Deeply in love with this coop. So is my flock. It took awhile to get, but the wait was worth it as I had it customized white and dark green to match my house.
I cannot praise the delivery driver enough. He brought me my coop smack dab in the middle of the great Texas Freeze (Feb 2021.) Most of the state was shut down. Our power was spotty and our water was off, but bless that gentleman because he got the job done.
When all was said and done, there were some cracks in the run roof, but under the circumstances it's absolutely no big deal and doesn't affect things in the run as the construction is quite sturdy.”
“The coop was delivered on a truck that was too large for proper delivery that I had informed them of. The delivery person did not have knowledge of how to set up or handle small tractor. While delivering the outside pen he let it fall and caused the pen to pop a few nails causing it to set crooked. The coop itself is well built just wish the delivery folks knew more about setting up units and were more polite. The base still is set crooked.. if not we‚Äôll built I would return.. do not pay for set up delivery if this team (I was stuck with) is delivering.”
“The coop is decent if you don‚Äôt have the time or skills to build from scratch. However there were gaps in board and batten siding that you could see daylight through. So I assume drafts would get in. Nothing inside is square so adding things after purchase (insulation & sheathing to prevent the chickens from eating the insulation as I live in an extremely cold climate) was a bit annoying. The roosts had some splinters. One of the windows sticks. Mostly just a lot minor stuff that could be fixed, but I expected higher quality and not to have fix anything...considering how much it cost.”
“We are over the moon with this coop!!!! It is beyond well built. There are no nails or screws sticking out anywhere (as we've seen on all the local options). The attention to detail was clearly done by someone who knew what they're doing & that they cared!!!!! Perfectly painted, no gaps in the wood, good materials used, tons of little touches we didn't expect....it's amazing. For the little touches, raccoon proof latches, a locking door handle, the clean out door, nest box door, & chicken ramp door all have latches to hold the doors open for you, the human door has a rubber door stopper to it won't wack/damage where it opens to, the nest box has hydraulic hinges which is super helpful, & you can remove the nest box compartment for cleaning. We got the epoxy floor & it's super easy to clean. The clean out door is a long board along the floor that you latch open & it's super easy to sweep everything out of. The electrical package is perfect, we just attach an extension cord to the plug & it's good to go. We got the tractor option, the wheels are beefy (will hold up well in our field), the handle they attached is great/comfortable & you can detach the hand part to attach it to an ATV or tractor if needed.
I may order more chickens so I can get another one of these coops... :P”
“Quality built by Amish. We ordered with many options. The electrical package did not meet outdoor electrical code. We hired an electrician to re-wire to meet code. The expoy floor is slippery for humans and chickens; not recommended! Auto open and close door is great! Floor level clean out door is one long wood board, awkward to use; not recommended. We did not order tractor option. We did ask for an additional foot under the house, works out great for shade and shelter from the rain. Heated perches work great.”
