Baby Chicks: Black Ameraucana Female Reviews

4.9 Rating 34 Reviews
Honeybee is one of two of the smallest in my flock as of now. I chose her breed because the adult hens look like ravens with their all black and iridescent feathers. She just likes hanging with her sisters and doing chicken things all day. She could take it or leave it when it comes to being held.

They are healthy and happy, one is growing very fast. I did have a very small one that got spraddle leg and passed, but I am glad I got it.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear that your Black Ameraucana chicks are healthy and growing well. We’re truly sorry for the loss of the tiny chick that developed spraddle leg — it’s always difficult to lose one, even when it’s covered under our guarantee. We appreciate your understanding and are grateful you gave these chicks a loving home.

I adore my Black Ameraucana. She just turned 12 weeks and is definitely a top of the pecking order gal! Sweet, kind, curious, and lovely personality. Muffs and beard growing in nicely. Highly recommended.

So cute with puffy cheeks. Slightly smaller than the Marans and flower hen but just as spunky. I’m looking forward to blue eggs.

She is loud and a little bossy! Her nickname is screamer.
