“I currently have 3 beautiful females. And I'm quiet happy with the multi shades of blue they lay. The eggs are much more vibrant in the spring though, but look amazing in my mixed egg cartons. The birds themselves are such a joy to watch though. They hunt every bug or frog they find. Everything is interesting to them. They get into every bag or bucket I bring out to the pen. They follow me around totally curious of my every move. They don't like being picked up, but will jump on my lap if I have something of interest. No fear from these spunky girls.”
“Out of this group of birds this year, this bird is the funniest and most entertaining. She is always wide eyed and alert. She is always able to find the smallest slit in the netting over their cage and hop out. She wants to be on me, all of the time, particularily on my head if she had her way. She wants to come out ALWAYS. She is very pretty with light grey to whit feathers with dark blue barring. She‚Äôs a bit disheveled looking right now as at 5 weeks, her last back feathers are a bit ratty and not fully grown in. She has a super tight grip with her feet and tiny pointy razor sharp ‚Äútalons‚Äù. She‚Äôs not always as fun to hold as she wants to think she is. I hope she lays pretty eggs. She‚Äôs definitely earned her breed name...crazy cuckoo bird. I love her. Another high five to MPC.”
