“These heating panels work great for young chicks. However, once the chicks get bigger (~3 to 4 weeks), there is not enough surface area for the chicks to contact to get the warm - unless you have multiple panels to accommodate more than 6 to 8 chicks. We added a tried and true heat lamp, secured safely with appropriate hardwar to keep our young flock warm..”
