“My girls and I were so excited for the educational pack of eggs after learning all about the life cycles of chickens and preparing for incubating or own set of eggs. Sadly only 2 out of our 6 eggs hatched which was a huge bummer. It appeared as though 3 were not fertilized and 1 just never hatched after 26 days in the incubator. I do appreciate how quickly and safely the eggs were shipped to us, but wish we could have had a little better success rate!”
We’re so sorry to hear that your hatch rate wasn’t what you had hoped for—we know how exciting (and sometimes unpredictable) the incubation process can be. While shipped eggs can be more delicate due to factors outside of our control, we completely understand the disappointment of not having more chicks hatch, especially after all the learning and preparation you and your girls put into it.

“Very easy, smooth process - from customer service (answering the many questions I had), to ordering, to fast delivery, to the care in packing the eggs, to answering questions afterwards. Highly recommend! They even sent 3 extra eggs! The only negative was that I did NOT receive any notice that the eggs had shipped until AFTER they were already delivered. Would have helped me be better prepared with the incubator. This was my first year hatching chickens, so it was a learning process. We successfully hatched 5 chickens!”

Angelique, we are very sorry that you are disappointed with your hatch rate. Fresh, fertile eggs that have never shipped hatch at an average rate of 80% or so. If they are shipped, that rate drops to an average of 50%, even when they are handled very carefully! No suppliers of hatching eggs can guarantee a hatch rate.
