“I like this waterer a lot but for the life of me I can’t get the carry handle on. I have 3 of them and none have the handle because it’s too difficult to get on. Annoying for sure!”
We’re glad to hear you like the waterer, but we understand how frustrating the handle can be. The handle is designed to be snug, so it stays secure once installed. To attach it, insert one end of the handle into the hole first, then apply a bit of pressure to gently stretch the handle just enough to fit the other end into place. It does take some resistance, but that tension is what helps it keep its shape and stay secure during use.
If it’s tough to stretch by hand, having a second set of hands can help. Once installed, the handle should work as intended. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!
“This works very well for chicks. It is sturdy and stable. I installed the two cups rather than the horizontal nipples. It was easy to put them in. I still cannot figure out how to put the carry handle on it though and that would make it easier to carry for cleaning and refills. I gave it 4 rather than 5 because of not being able to get the handle on and it needs a small extension at the bottom to lift the cups up about 2 inches. This would not need to be space that could be filled with water just an extension of the 4 sides downwards 2 inches so that the cups can fall into their lower position without hitting the ground. The chicks easily and quickly learned how to drink from the cups. Keeps the main portion of the water clean and they can't sit on top and poop down into the water, which I greatly appreciate.”

“Generally I like the design of this (using with the drinking cups). However, the cups are placed too low -- if you put the waterer down on a flat surface, the cups are pushed upwards, causing the water to spill out the back of the cups. It's not a huge problem since the waterer's permanent location is probably raised off the floor, but it's quite annoying not to be able to put it down anywhere as you're rearranging or refilling it.”
