Baby Chicks: Mottled Cochin Bantam Female Reviews

My little Moira is just darling. So sweet, actually listens, lays cute little eggs, and is just a joy to have. She will go broody every now and again, but is never nasty about it and snaps out of it in no time. I definitely recommend.

Ronny, my 5 week old mottled cochin, is so adorable! I ordered straight run and I could tell right away he was a boy by his micro wings and already forming comb. He gets along very well with the other girls and is always by my side. So happy with my cochin roo!

Our little gal "Henny Penny" is an excellent mother. She went broody so I had her hatch a frizzle egg. She has been attentive and a very good teacher. The chick is a month old now and couldn't have had a better mother. They are just adorable together. She is even tempered and sweet. The other Mottled we received turned out to be a roo. We have kept him and what a darling. Get some!

My two bantam cochins, Jas and Pippin, are definitely my favorites out of my flock. When they were chicks, they were the first to become acclimated to people and were the most fearless out of the bunch. Their heavily feathered feet make it look like they're wearing pants and their big fluffy bottoms just make them even more adorable! Every day they are the first to run out of the coop and will jump into your lap without hesitation. Love my cochins!!!!

My little fellow, Falcor, is six weeks old today. He's been obviously a rooster for three...LOL I had no idea a baby would attempt to crow, and it's the funniest sound ever. The rest of my flock are full-size Cochins, and he just runs under their legs to get whatever he wants with no concern that the bigger birds could stomp him with very little effort. He's a tough little guy! He's starting to get his patterning and looks like he's going to be a beauty, though honestly, I'd love him even if he just stayed the awkward, pin-feathered teenager he is now.

If your a fan of the Silkie Bantam this breed is for you! I find them to be equally sweet and adorable as my Silkies. I am happy I decided to add this breed to my flock. I can't help but smile when I see them running around my yard....and when they are running alongside the Silkies.....does it get any cuter! This is a must have.

Cochina is my daughter's FAVORITE hen. So docile, super sweet, make the cutest little sounds, and loves to hang out out in your lap. She'll stop to take a snooze whenever and wherever. Her fluffy butt, and roundy ball of a tail is SO adorable. She's so low to the ground when she waddles around in her fluffy bedroom slippers, that I bet she's make a good swiffer. Sadly, she's at the bottom of the pecking order, so we take extra care she doesn't ever get too beat up. Decent layer of little cream eggs. She can go broody sometimes, but not as bad as our silkie.
