“I bought a small and a large Jungle Gym. The chicks never had interest in the small one, but they loved the large Jungle Gym from nearly the start. One of the Blue Favaucanas figured out how to flutter-hop and reach the top at less than two weeks, she balanced on the top rail - her little feet were too small to get a grip. I also caught a gorgeous picture of the Blue Cuckoo Maran spresding her wings to steady herself on the next-to-top rail. They went in the middle when young, it would have been nice to have one of the ground level holes larger to accomodate fast chickie growth. I've moved it from the edge of the pop-up brooder to the middle as they got older. Now at five weeks they love running the periphery like a dodo bird in a caucus race. They also love cutting through the center by "climbing" the rods like stairs, or flying to the top. They do not use it for roosting at night, though. They like to crowd together by the brooder door to sleep. Window down to the ground, and exciting dreams of chickie escape.”
