Ash, we are so very sorry for the loss of Pierogi, your Silver Laced Polish chick. It is heartbreaking! We have reached out to you in regards to to your loss, and you were covered by our 48 hours guarantee.
“I am not sure what's going on with MPC because I've never had problems like this with them before. I order baby chicks from them almost every year (sometimes more) for the past 6 years or so. I recently ordered 4 chicks and the 2 cochins were so weak. They ended up dying. I placed another order and this time added in 2 of these polish. Again, both extremely weakly. I've done everything I'm supposed to do to support a weak chick. One died yesterday and the other looks like it's on its way out. Just like the cochins. I won't get a replacement/refund because it's been more than a few days. These chicks arrived sickly. The other 7 are fine. It seems like some of their breeds are just not healthy anymore. I don't think I will be ordering from here anymore. Two incidents in a row, two separate orders can not be justified for the price I am spending with this company. I'm really bummed about these polish. I've been watching like site like a hawk for MONTHS to get some of these polish because they are never in stock. I was so excited to get them (there were only 2 in stock) so I quickly ordered both. But I'll end up with none. Just like the cochins.”
“I have 3 MPC Polish gals and 6 more on the way. They are just beautiful, sweet and cuddly. Ours are lap pets and come when called. Our silver laced is my husbands absolute favorite of all of our girls. We will always have Polish in our flock. If you don't have any get some. Oh and I promise, they are THE cutest chicks ever.”
“We just received our chicks today! They arrived on time and all seem to be healthy and happy. I can‚Äôt waot to see these girls grow. Also the customer service was phenomenal. I would definitely but from my pet chicken again”
“I needed one more hen for my shipment and this was recommended by the customer service guy. She is now 5 years old and still going strong. She is named Adelina which is polish for little winged one. She is calm but is on the top tier of the pecking order. If yours goes broody let her hatch some eggs, she will be a strong attentive Mama. Just make sure the first time you let her hatch to get the broken egg shell out from under her. Mine freaked out until I figured out what was wrong. After that first shell removal she was fine and moved them herself. LOL. I recommend these birds for their beauty and good mothering skills.”
“Last year we my daughter showed this bird for 4-H in the local fair and she won best in breed her mottled was nicely spaced and looked even better then the one in this picture.”
