“This is the second pair of Verney Carron Fox trousers that I have had via New Forest, my first pair came from a trader at a country fair. They are warm and very comfortable, they have a soft outer feel and do NOT make that 'swish' noise as you walk that a lot of watre proof trousers do. I tend to wear these all winter long. They have a waterproof membrane which works to a point, I do a lot of dog walking and have found I stay dry until the rain really lashes down and I am out for a while in that, then it starts to come through. Otherwise I love these trousers for the winter.”
“Great material but the taper from waist to ankle is extreme. Thigh and waist are very loose for the size. Ankle fit is great. The double closure on the front is a great feature. all said and done i would not buy again because of such a loose fit on the thigh and waist. I should have bought a size 30" waist, although if that also reduces the diamiter of the ankle they would be too small. NOT A WELL HEMMED TROUSER”
