“I have a men's jacket that I bought some years ago under the Field and River label , it was the smallest one available but still too large . It has been a total life saver , I am a hands on gardener and all I could find online and in shops were useless pretty jackets for women who probably never went out in the rain and cold . I wear it in the winter with wool jumpers underneath , it survives thorns , mud and more . I lost the waterproofing as I was so muddy that it had to be washed , but still went out .wearing it in drizzle The lining is warm and with the outer fabric the coat is windproof . I could hardly believe it when , in despair I put the F&R label into my computer and New Forest clothing came up , and with it the option for a ladies jacket . I paid at once for one after comparing the size with the mens available . The jacket arrived very quickly , I was a bit worried until I inspected the smart garment that was revealed . It is the same except for a less bulky hood . Wonderful , large pockets , lining , room for jerseys , thornpoof and very smart . I am so pleased with this , such a good price in comparison to some other waterproof jackets on offer at 2 or 3 times more and nowhere as useful for a proper female gardener . Thank you .”
“Lovely quality jacket, however I ordered the size 12 based on chest measurement and it didn't fit round the hips. Returned for an exchange and waiting to see if a size 14 fits my pear shape. Hip measurement on sizing would be very useful.”
“A pretty good quality coat for the money. Lightly padded, personally I would need an extra jumper,on a cold day but great for keeping spring chill out. The hood is a reasnoble size to keep the rain off too. All in all its a really decent coat for the money.
I would buy another one.”
“I'm absolutely delighted with my jacket, it's a perfect fit and identical to my ancient jacket which it has replaced!
These jackets are extremely cosy and definitely ideal for keeping the wind out!!”
