“excellent service from New Forest. As for Troos they are certainly heavy duty and will be great winter pants. For now they are simply too hot. One area of improvement is the seam at the knee would be better if it sat higher. Tolerable for short walks but would be irritable if you ping any distance. Also inner seam on air vents can irritate. Overall however very heavy duty and will be great for Highland winters.”

only bought today but they are awesome, very well made, light and look hard wearing.
Two points
1) the Ridgeline sizing guide while looking odd, does work. I am a 32 waist but come up as "XS" according to Ridgeline which I was dubious about but they fit perfectly.
2) while these are trousers there is sufficient room come the colder weather to wear a pair of jeans underneath for added warmth.
