“First impressions are that this is a quality garment. There are a few loose ends on the stitching but nothing serious - all the hems appear to be sound and well-made. The zipped pockets are reasonably large and form large patch pockets accessible inside the garment which are capable of holding an OS map or even a paperback book.
I intended to use this gilet as summer wear and it's certainly warm enough for that purpose.
I was pleased enough with my first purchase to buy a second one (in a different colour).

“The gilet would have been good BUT even though it says it is XL it is actually large or even medium. My Jackpike is XL and fits well.The Hoggs is better quality BUT is too tight. Difficult to do the zipper up. Do you still have your Downton warehouse? I would like you to check the size there. Thanks, Nick”
