“The collar is a great concept. It adds a quick release to the stand and allows you to attach accessories like the shelf to the stand. The problem the shelf or other accessories can not have the height adjusted and the shelf completely blocks the height adjustment quick release. You have to remove the accessories in order to access the stand height adjustment- this completely defeats the purpose of the quick release on the stand. The old collar (9.1 stand) which I ordered by mistake allowed you to move the shelf up and down on the vertical shaft and would not have interfered with the quick release. The problem is compounded by the tear trop shape of the tubes, which may benefit strength nominally, but makes accessories less adjustable since the collar can't rotate on the tube.”

“Accessory collar arrived quickly & works fine. Only negative is that the accessory collar should be available to buy with the work tray & bike stand together as one purchase instead of buying them piece meal.”

“Collar installation was pretty straightforward. Alignment of the top tube of the stand was my biggest mechanical issue. My main complaint is the fact that the need/requirement of this collar was not CLEARLY denoted when I ordered the tool tray of my choice. I discovered that upon reading the instructions for the tool tray. I have greatly enjoyed using Park Tools personally & professionally for years. To be this surprised and disappointed now is sad. I know this company can do better.”

“The description suggests this will work with my PCS 9.2 tool tray but it doesn’t. In fact, this is the second collar I got for the tray. The first didn’t work at all. This one fits the stand but doesn’t give enough clearance for the tray. I’ve got it on there. It’s crooked but I’ve strapped it in so it doesn’t come off. Better than nothing I guess.”
