“The QC on this tool is terrible. This is my first Park Tool and quite possibly my last. The tool arrived with sharp burrs on the face of 2/3 of the 16 notches that would scratch up the BB cups, and the finish inside the square drive is shoddy with rust/corrosion in one corner. Not what anyone would expect for £33. I was in a pinch too as I needed to fit the BB for a trip and couldn't wait for a replacement; had to file off the burrs, no doubt voiding the warranty. Really disappointed given Park Tool's reputation for quality.”

This tool appears that it was previously used. What you are calling out as corrosion is a wear mark from a ratchet. The burrs are where someone slipped off a bottom bracket. The images are showing that this was used and not in new condition.
