“I have cheaped out for years with other chain tools from big box department stores, or from Amazon or ebay. They are usually okay, and last anywhere from 5 minutes to maybe even a year or so. When my last cheap one quit on me, I needed a chain tool right away and went up to my local bike shop to buy one. They said the Park Tool chain tool was the only one they use and the only one they sell. Yes, it's a fair bit more expensive than a junk no-name brand tool, but I can assure you, it's worth every penny. I have bought a few of these chain tools and keep them in my 'shop', keep one in my truck, and one in a mobile bike tool kit I take with me. I have also bought some as gifts for friends that have the same struggle as me. Again, this is the best chain tool on the market that I have found.”
