“For the amount of money that this stand costs there is no excuse for it not to be calibrated out of the box. Or if it becomes out of alignment during shipping, then Park Tool needs to work on packaging the stand better.”

Hello Bob, I recall you emailing several weeks ago with this issue, and did not receive a reply from you! In case you missed my reply: Sorry you are having issues with your stand. All these get calibrated and signed off on by our small group of skilled builders, so it's likely this happened in shipping. I actually had UPS somehow manage to bend a 75 pound 1/2" thick metal stand base plate last week! We have a more detailed calibration video here that will most likely help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzPdbRXAaGY It's a rehash of the paper instructions but is laid out with significantly more detail. Since you are my eyes here, do both ends of the caliper arm itself look square? Also, would it be possible for you to send a picture of the batch code sticker underneath the caliper arm? I would like to see what batch this is from, and see if there were any other issues with this batch. Please let me know. Thanks!

“This is a really nice stand - a nice luxury after years of using el-cheepos. It's Easy to use this one doesn't need to optional thru-axle accessory (it includes what's needed for thru axles). When I received this stand it was out of calibration - I used properly dished and true rim recalibrate it so I was good to go. I recommend that you spring for both a dishing gauge and a spoke tension gauge.”

“I purchased this truing stand to work on my own wheels. It will pay for itself after a couple of uses with how much labor is at some shops here in town. I highly recommend biting the bullet and paying up for this stand. The quality is great, and it is completely rebuildable. Building and repairing wheels is a satisfying hobby, why wouldn't you want to use the best tool to do it?”

“Must have if performing periodic wheel maintenance. I bought this for home use and it didn’t disappoint on the first few uses. I’ve made my own diy versions in the past and nothing compares to a real quality tool like this. Going to add the elevation wheel companies magnetic lock for this then it will be 100% perfect. Imo it should come with something like this from the factory.”

“It’s design features the needed functions, and is user friendly! I especially like the new (through-axle adapters) that easily store away on the uprights, and the speedy adjuster knob for the upright arms. Also the new adapters are small enough not to interfere with the WAG-4 dish-gauge, which allows dish to be checked easily while the wheel remains in the stand. Would definitely recommend.!”
