We have yet to install this, but our last LED mirror from Pebble Grey was brilliant.

The Hollis 450x600 seemed to offer the best balance in terms of the features I wanted so I went ahead with the purchase. I had some problems with the first unit so a replacement was promptly sent. Unfortunately I experienced very similar problems with the replacement. Here is my opinion of the two units I examined... Things I liked were: Very smart looking with excellent build quality (aluminium frame); Big demister pad covering much of the useful area of the mirror; Nice bright LEDs controlled by an illuminated touch switch on the front; Flat, blemish-free mirrors on the front & reverse of the door, on the outer long sides and inner rear of the cabinet (the internal mirrors are actually really useful!); Unconventional mounting method was originally a con but became a pro as the brackets could be located off-centre to get at least one fixing top & bottom into a wooden stud behind my plasterboard. This was good as the cabinet was heavy and will pull on the upper fixings a lot with the door open. They aren't really visible once fitted (unless you are very tall or very short); Soft close hinges (I didn't realise this at first and thought the door didn't close properly - they worked really well once I figured out to use them); Compact cabinet with reduced depth (12 cm) compared to many others I looked at, so less obtrusive above a wall-mounted sink... Things I didn't like were: One or more LEDs on the front wouldn't switch off fully. During the day this was not noticeable but it was really obvious in the evening and at night. Different LEDs glowed in each unit or there was flickering. This seriously cheapened the appearance of the unit for me, when walking into my bathroom after dark without first turning the overhead light on; I could not get a standard UK shaver plug (to BS4573) to fit into the shaver socket(s). There were a couple of small plastic protrusions which prevented the plug going in on both sides simultaneously. I tried an identical BS4573 plug in a selection of illuminated mirrors in the local hardware centre and it fitted fine (as it should!); The cabinet(s) emitted a perceptible mains hum all the time. I found this particularly intrusive at night (even though it was in a different room) and on occasion ended up shutting off the whole mirror, which defeated the object of having a fancy touch-controlled LED array; The demister only works when the LEDs are on - not my preference but that's just how most of these mirrors come; Demister pad wasn't fitted parallel to the sides of the cabinet - a minor gripe as this was only noticeably when switching on the demister after mist had already formed, but really... how hard can it be to put it on straight?... In conclusion, I really wanted to like this cabinet but I wish I had tested the electrical aspects fully (by putting a plug on the flex) before going to the hassle & expense of getting it professionally installed in the bathroom. In my opinion the LED control was not of satisfactory quality and the shaver socket was not fit for purpose on the cabinets I looked at, while I found the mains hum just plain annoying! I returned the mirror for a full refund.

I'm unable to comment in detail as the cabinet is not yet installed or in use. It arrived in good condition.

Terrible customer service and a faulty product which they would not return. Following my purchase being faulty and buzzing so badly it kept us up at night the customer service was terrible from Pebble Grey. They refused to acknowledge that the product was faulty and would not return the product or send another out. I was told this was normal for this product and that it got louder when the door was closed because the buzzing resonates inside the cabinet which is “normal” apparently. A cabinet with an RRP of £399 and it buzzes, we put the cabinet in our en-suite but it’s too loud to have it powered up. Pebble Grey customer service sent out a rubber pad which I fitted in between the charger transformer and the cabinet which was going to cure it apparently. It made absolutely no difference!! Needless to say I will not be making any further purchases from Pebble Grey or recommending to friends. Terrible company!!

Cannot comment on function due to incompatible electric connection.

We love this mirror! It looks really impressive, and seems really well made. The only downside is that we didn’t realise that the smaller size mirror came with a touch sensor rather than a motion sensor (although it does say on the website, but isn’t massively clear when you switch between the sizes). We still love it though and are very happy with it.
