“These pellets are more expensive by weight but there is a lot less wastage and its more cost effective and less materials end up in land fill. The pellets break down into saw dust when in contact with water and the natural pine smell is really good odor control.
HOWEVER... Make sure you get the correct litter tray! Some other litter trays may holes that are too big in the top layer and the pellets will go straight through. I suggest getting the Catmate one to be safe.”
“These wood shaving pellets seemed good when I put them in the litter tray and when the cat did a wee they did stop the ammonia smell, however they break down to tiny bits of wood shavings which is hard to scoop out without making a mess. Id also like to see the bag be a paper bag rather than plastic as a better environmental choice.”
