“I went searching for a plum tea, because Plum Deluxe must have one, right!? This one leaned more toward the strawberry and lemon fruit flavors for me. But it was also a little too strong on the cardamom. Especially because it has ground cardamom, with left me with quite a bit of silt in the bottom of my cup. I think it had more tang than I expected, and less sweetness than I wanted.”
“Upon first smell, I really felt that the cardamom scent was too strong for me to enjoy. However, when I did a hot brew, the tea really balanced out. I could use more plum flavor, as I taste more of the strawberry, but it still quite good.”
“I rated this tea based on the quality of the black tea base which I personally perfect by adding Heritage blend (my favorite maple flavored tea because I love Darjeeling). This mild base allows the cardamom-spiced plum to come through, and the dessert quality can easily be enhanced with any of the herbal dessert teas. I can’t wait to try this with Vanilla Sugar Cookie tea.”
