“If you want a cup of hot chocolate, this isn't really going to do it for you. But if you want a cup of tea that tastes like you're thinking about a hot chocolate, this is perfect. I like it with a spot of cream and a pinch of cinnamon sugar; I'm not actually a huge fan of it just plain, though most of that is the smoothness offered by honeybush isn't a texture I enjoy. The depth of the cocoa counterbalances it somewhat, but making this tea into a latte is really the best way to go.”
“I've brewed this tea three times. The first two, I drank it hot. Once a tsp in 8 oz brewed for 5 min. That was way, way too watery for me. The second was a heaping tsp in about 6.5 ounces steeped for 7 min and added soymilk. Still too watery. The third time, I steeped 2 tsp in 8 ounces, added soymilk and refrigerated until chilled. It was delicious that way! Like a chocolate dessert pie! It may have been the stronger brew or the temperature, but I won't be drinking this tea hot again. It is delicious when chilled!
For comparison, another chocolate tea from this company, Banana Bread Dessert Tea, brews very well 1 tsp in 8 oz for 6ish minutes with added soymilk. So it really is this blend that's just a tad bland.”
