“First of all, this is a very light tea. If you're looking for a punch of taste this isn't it. It strikes a very "palate cleanser" note. Even steeped at 2 tsp per cup of water for nearly 10 minutes it is still very, very subtle. I drink 99% of my tea without any additives anyway but I would be scared to add any sweetener to this because I think it would be so easy to overpower the flavor.
That said, this tea is delicious. It has a vaguely sweet-but-not taste that makes my brain light up and think "granny smith apple" but it's not quite that. It's somewhat sweet and tart and apple-y but it also has some woodsy floral notes that give it some nuance without making it complicated. It's very refreshing.”
“I've never had fresh cherimoya, but this tea makes me want to try it! This was among my favorites from the 2020 Advent calendar teas and is characterized by a rich, sweet, and slightly creamy apple flavor with a twist from the cherimoya essence. I'd suggest brewing it a little longer (7 minutes) to get the full flavor to come out.”
