“This is one of my favorite teas — and especially so since it’s caffeine-free. The flavor is unique _ mild but never bland — and calming. I love that it includes the benefits of turmeric.”
“I have been super into turmeric blends lately, wanting to try as many as I can - this one is in my top 3 for sure. When opening the bag, it smells super spicy. Not like...chili spicy, but super well spiced. I mainly smell...I think the aniseed/fennel, peppercorn, and a lot of chocolate. Maybe ginger as well? When first brewed, I really liked the combination of spices, though didn't get much of the chocolate or vanilla.
I like having turmeric teas with milk or cream, so after adding cream and sweetening a little, I mainly tasted ginger and turmeric, maybe a bit of the peppercorn? Though as it cooled [...I take a while to drink tea, apparently. Though it's interesting to see how it changes with different temperature!], the cocoa nibs and vanilla came out a lot more, and it was a lot more dessert-like.
I agree with other reviews that this isn't a super strongly flavored tea, despite how strongly the scent of the spices are in the pouch. But I find it super comforting and cozy, all the flavors well-balanced, and really nice to drink during the crazy cold weather we've had here lately! I think the only thing that would make this even better is a little cinnamon [but I am also biased because I really really love cinnamon in teas].
Either way, this is a really tasty tea!”
“This is such an interesting tea with really fun and well-blended flavors. The more I drink it, the more I like it. I definitely pick up on the chocolate flavor and on the subtle spiciness. I do find the flavor to be relatively subtle (not super powerful/strong), and while that sometimes disappoints me, it really works for this tea for some reason.”
