“My old range finder gave out last year, and after a lot of shopping and comparing, I finally settled on the NX7 Pro Rangefinder. My initial plan was to get the newest Bushnell laser and call it a day. After a few searches and reading up on PrecisionPro, I decided to save the money and try their laser.
I am glad I did. This is a high quality device that comes in a nice case. More importantly, it works great. Magnification is awesome, locking onto the flag has been flawless, and turning slope mode on and off is a piece of cake. The distance is easy to read and accurate.
With slope mode on, you get 2 yardages in the display, the actual distance and a distance adjusted to account for slope. It is easy to read both numbers.
The only thing left to see is how long it lasts. Based on build quality, I believe I will have this laser for years to come.”
“I had been using a bulky laser and LED readout Bushnell Range finder. It did not have the slope capability. So I purchased the Percision pro with slope. The operation of the Pro device is different but once you use it you will quickly get used to it and you'll like it even better.
You just temporarily the press the power switch which turns the unit on. Then while shooting your target whether it be a flag on the green or a bunker or tree or bush you again temporarily push the button again with the object in the cross hairs but don't hold it down. The unit will lock on and then vibrate slightly and give you the reading for both slope and straight line.
Most of the time it it is accurate except when you're at a very close distance. I find that if you hold your thumb under the device that you can feel the vibration a little easier and steady the unit better.
Another big plus over my Bushnell that I was using is the weight and size of the Pecision Pro. The pros slips easily into your pocket. Then on those days when i's cartpath only, you can get an instant reading where your golf ball lies.
I personally prefer to have the Precision Pro with the battery rather than a rechargeable unit like my Hybrid Bushnell is. You don't have to worry about always charging the unit before you go to the course. If you are concerned about losing power, just carry a spare battery with you and you're good to go. The battery does, however, last a long time.
Couple all this with a $10 instant discount and a mail in rebate offer and you've got yourself a real bargain and great laser range finder.”
“Have wanted a range finder for years and after doing my research found the NX7 to have great ratings and had a decent price so I pulled the trigger. It's incredibly light and easy to use...as well as being highly accurate. I still don't know how long the battery will last as I'm still on the original but I've used it for 4 rounds plus multiple range days and it's still going strong....though the battery meter says it's low by the end of my last couple rounds it comes back as reading full when I fire it up again. I will say the clip that came with the original bag was broken before the end of my first round so don't rely on that to keep it from falling off your bag if you're walking.
All in all I'm incredibly happy with my purchase and don't plan on buying another for multiple years.”
