“Beat the others we tried with added features.
I've tried a couple other chargers for our Fiat 500e, they were ok but the build quality just wasn't there and the plug was very hard to remove on one brand compared to the one that came with the vehicle.
Really happy with the charger from Primecom for one, all the others had 24-25' cables, this one comes with a 30' cable and that made a big difference in parking the vehicle in the garage in relation to the outlet.
This charger also has the ability to have it's amperage adjusted "excellent idea". When we need the car charged fast I can have it run at full power and the car charges in about 3.5hrs. But since we have solar I like to balance the amount of power it is pulling in relation to how much our solar system is putting out at mid day. We have a 9.3kWh system so it has plenty of juice but in the winter months it drops down. So with this charger all I have to do is adjust down the power and let it charge without going over our solar output, "I check this with the Solar Edge app".
This charger is also feels sturdier in hand and the plug is not hard to pull out at all, just like our original Fiat charger.
If you are looking for a portable charger I'd look strongly at this one, with the added benefit of being able to adjust the power it uses it makes it that much more versatile.”
“Great level II EV charger
After reading discussion groups and Amazon reviews, I was delighted to find this charger. I bought a Kia Niro PHEV recently and was thrilled to discover that I had an unused 220V dryer outlet in my garage. I opted for the 40-foot charger so that I can route it up across my garage ceiling and down to where my vehicle sits. Since it is a 16Amp only, it take ~2 1/2 hours to charge up my 26 mile capacity battery, which is sufficient for my needs. I am very pleased with this item.”

This is only an initial review (about a month), so I cannot attest to the durability/reliability of this EVSE. However, thus far it has worked flawlessly. The build quality seems good with thick cabling and a solid interlock to the plug. The rubber dust cover for the charging plug fits well. The charging rate is what I expected based on amperage of this no-frills EVSE.”

“Cheapest way to charge your EV
I've read a lot of the Q&A's about people asking - will it work on this or that vehicle and how long will it take to charge.
It's simple folks. It will charge approximately twice as fast as the standard EVSE that plugs up to your standard household outlet that comes with the car and it is almost half the speed of the J plugs at public charge stations.
It's more than adequate for quickly charging up your EV overnight at your house.
If you have a 220/240 volt outlet or Dryer or Stove outlet near where you park your car, you can't beat this EVSE!
I had an electric stove that I replaced with a gas stove, and that left me with a 220 volt outlet, where I simply plugged this EVSE into and fortunately, my kitchen is near my driveway. I ran the cord down through the floor and out to the driveway and I'm set. This EVSE performs perfectly!
It will work with ANY car that supports the standard J1772 plug.
I have a 2016 Nissan Leaf.
