“I bought the Spectrum radioed RV 7 because I had an older DX6 transmitter - turns out that the DX6 is BAD and will not rebound to my old receiver or the new RV standard radio gear. I ended up putting another radio and separate gyro into the RV 7. The aircraft was damaged during delivery by a third party courier company and needed repairs to one flap as the RV 7 only has foam pinched hinges not actual hinge pivots. The second flight was a disaster as the rudder servo failed and caused the RV to destroy itself in a steep nose down spin. All now repaired with metal geared elevator and rudder servos.
Flies perfectly even though it is not per the Spectrum standard radio or inbuilt stabilization system.
The airframe flies very well.
First flight went perfectly for a maiden - good tail low takeoff with a 3 point flapped landing.”
