Yes, it is plastic, but it seems pretty tough and it does everything you need if, like me, you are just starting out in the world of drones and need to learn some skills before dropping the big bucks. The only 'isue' is that larger mobile phones (like my Samsung s22 Ultra) are a bit heavy for the controller cradle.”
