“My only reservation is that I bought the 100g version, and not the 400g one. I shan't be repeating that mistake next time - and there will be a next time. Dense, gooey, fragrantly spiced panforte studded through with fine, whole almonds. Whatever it is that the Italians are doing to their candied peel to give it that punchy citrussy zing, can we please learn the secret for our British equivalents? Small slices with coffee or cheese, and savour every last crumb. Overwhelmingly recommended,.”
