“I love these dresses and have every colour. They are a robust heavy linen which drapes and falls nicely in a flattering and swinging manner. I love the A line tiered style for my shape (loose on tummy and hips & draws attention to my bust & legs not emphasising my middle) & bodice/collar style and longer sleeves to cover problem upper arms. I would give 5 stars but being only 157cm tall I find the necklines sit very low and open. I must wear a high sitting singlet underneath for comfort and modesty as I do not like displaying/exposing my cleavage and down to my waist when I bend down. I does require a lot of ironing but is cool and fresh. I am normally a size 18 in plus sizes but bought 22 to allow for shrinkage and no back/bra bulging. I kept these but bought size 20 which fits better. The Ayva is more generous than the similar style Evie. Being Rayon and thinner, lighter and flowy I prefer size 22 in Evie. They are roomy and comfy without looking dowdy. These are a mini dress but just below the knees on me which is the best dress length on me so as not to be overwhelmingly too long. If you’re a new customer I find measurement charts difficult to go by & stores and styles measurements vary too much. FYI my measurements are bust: 119cm, waist 114cm, hips 125cm.
I adore this shade of Cornflower type blue. It is happy & bright but cooling and flatters me with my pinkish complexion, brown eyes, blonde hair. Black & white dresses are lovely too and the brown is a dark chocolate which I prefer to a more caramel brown tone . Very slimming and great if you want something other than neutrals, Navy or Black.”
