How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? In term 3 our inquiry was Hauora - so this kit fitted in very well to look at our well being little more indepth. I also have a well-being check in on the board using post it notes but changed to used the discs following up using the check in cards weekly

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Not only do we have a check in to show how we are feeling but there are two areas where they can anomiously ask for a teacher one on one check in. We often have class discussions on any matters arise. This component gave extra support.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? They felt confident to share with me how they were feeling. Knowing that they could do it non verbally helped too as sometimes they felt self-conscious.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? They felt more confident communicating as I was open bout my feelings too. I had a token and book for myself to fill out and would use the prompting cards.

“We loved the kit! We are still using our daily check in tokens 2 terms later. I would love to use it every year with my students. The booklets were engaging with good prompting questions for students to reflect on their lives. The letters to a loved one were appreciated by the recipients. The self help cards were used daily by students and they enjoyed challenging themselves with the tasks.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The charging station was very good and some students in the class really got into it. Also the yellow diary/journal was great and easy top use and discuss.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? This kit has allowed myself and the students to have discussions around things that we might not have done if we hadn't used this kit.

“Awesome kit. Even though we were interrupted by lockdown tye students were able to get a huge amount out of the resilience kit. The students were able to reflect on themselves and how to deal in siutations that are challenging. Awesome class discussions and easy to follow plan. Thanks heaps!”

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check in tokens worked well. Students were often asking if they could check in. The checklist provided an opportunity for students reluctant to verbally discuss issues with me to write it down and leave it on my desk. I then touched base with them

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I think the section around looking at your circle of influence was very crucial to our class. It helped to work alongside our schools PB4L program, and we focused it around integrity.Looking at the different emotions and when they have noticed them helped

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has enabled students and teachers to build a bank of terms and as teachers, when dealing with situations we can link back to these terms. Such as 'who is your behaviour influencing now?'

“It was a really good kit. Due to lockdown, we didn't complete the entire kit, however, we did mange to pull things out and due specific activities. We turned the things in and out of our control into an activity also, having students brainstorm things that they had experienced in lockdown so far.”

We looked at other people from the outside making judgements and had huge discussions about how no one knows what is going on for other people just by what we could see. We all have something to share and something unique. Student voice was honest and ope

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Unfortunately we were just at the beginning of using the charging station and didn't really have time to make a call around its effectiveness.

“We were just getting into this kit as lockdown hit. The resources were displayed on the wall with a ";coming soon"; banner across to heighten interest. The teacher resources, student booklets and wall display were all of the usual excellent quality. I loved the themes and how the storyline of the kit unfolded.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Students have the confidenc to voice how they are feeling and why - a huge step forward!

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? As the students became more adept at recognising their feelings, they naturally became better at sharing them.

“The Dove Self Esteem Kit is FABULOUS!! Feedback from my students was that they learnt to stop and assess how they feeling, why they might be feeling that way and what to do about it. Many of my students lacked the emotional intelligence to do this before. This kit has taught them how to acknowledge their feelings in small, manageable steps. I have noticed a change in the students empathy for others and recognising when something might be up. I had to take down the recharge wall but students requested the cards be left on the wall so they can access them as needed. This is easily the most effective kit we have done so far.”
