How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? By giving them real strategies to apply there and then in the classroom, not just ideas.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The biggest success has been setting up a confidential way for kids in 'the red zone' to communicate with me, or at least to understand that they need to talk to someone if they are struggling.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? All of them have been well used and enjoyed within the classroom, being able to identify their feeling and the people they trust has been great- gut the communication wall and tokens have been the best part, all the children feel like they have a voice.

The students have loved being able to communicate, without words, or trying to get my attention, how they are feeling using the tokens. I have been able to get quietly alongside some of my quieter students and have in-depth discussions because the token a

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The tokens in the good visual for me as the classroom teacher to help monitor where individuals were at with their emotions. The cards were a good discussion starter too with discussing different scenarios.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students are more open to using the token system. It was a wonderful way for students who are not confident to discuss how they are feeling with others. Developing oral language around being able to articulate feelings and why was very beneficial too.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Stimulated learning conversations around body type, individual strengths and preferences. Overall there has been a growing awareness of the class as a family who looks out for each other.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It's been great to just break the ice and normalize conversations around wellbeing. It has also been fantastic to demonstrate that all feelings are acceptable and that we support each other through bumps in the road.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The kit also helped with student confidence and agency, as they identified how they were feeling and could choose a card from the charging station to help themselves and others. Giving and receiving genuin compliments also helped improve self confidence.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students enjoyed being able to post their token into the station and discreetly indicate to the teacher if they weren’t feeling the best or needed help with something. The journal was also a nice way for them to share things about themselves privately.

“An excellent kit and such an important area for our young people. We were already doing the Zones of Regulation and so this was perfect to go alongside it. Invaluable to help students grow their skills and tools to cope with everyday issues. The letters parents wrote to their children were fabulous. Really great to get that support from home to transfer the learning. Excellent to grow the shared language in our classroom as well.”
