How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The 9 areas for each self-care battery stimulated conversations about more complex issues such as unconscious bias.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It's early days for us as we have only just begun the charging station. However, as mentioned above, I have already had one surprise request for help.

“The kit provided many opportunities to discuss values and how they charge our batteries. Letter from parents and words from teacher about their personalities were eye-openers for some children. Just started using the tokens but on day 1 got a red report from one student that needed immediate action. The report form gives them an opportunity to express their feelings without having to verbalise them initially.”

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check in token and the letters allowed students a starting point for more tricky conversations

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? We have a great understanding due to the activities that we did around the kit. We used the wall mounts every week to keep us accountable in a friendly environment.

I think through the discussions and activities, realising that they are not alone in sometimes lacking confidence has made them more open to talking about things, for example if they are struggling that there will always be others that are in the same boa

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? As a teacher I am now far more aware of where the kids sit on a continuum, the ones that need the positive interactions simply to just keep going and I know the sort of confidence boosters that they need.

“This kit came at an ideal time for my class we we begin to delve into how we live in the social environment around us. The practical activities and the in-depth discussions that the class completed together not only helped individuals but it helped the class as a cohort. Progression of learning was well thought out and engaging.”
