How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? They are fun and engaging and make the students want to use them.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? They encourage students to use them independently so that they feel safe should they not be feeling 100% it helps the students discover how they are actually feeling independently from their friends.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I found this kit was more helpful for relationship between myself and the students.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It's given kids the confidence to tell me issues they are having without having to start the conversation. They are able to tell me things even if they don't want to talk about - just want me to know what's happening in their world
“This was a very worthwhile kit!! My Year 5/6 class had some really important and deep conversations because of it. As soon as I set it up I had 2 kids fill in the sheet just to tell me that something had happened at home that morning - so valuable”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I think that the range of resources was really good and ties in with our school beginning to work with the Zones of Regulation. The two had a lot of systems in common so I was able to use the kit to support this.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? As a teacher I was able to get a better idea how the individual students felt about themselves throughout the day. It was great to see the empowering it gave the students. I think that the students could be more open and honest.
“This kit was valuable with a lot of varied useful resources. The children used parts of it with another resource I have called Zones of Regulation.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I think the little orange and red cards are good to help my students feel confident.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? i find the red letters extremely helpful and the tokens too. Especially the part where it tells me what they need from me. It has increased my understanding of their needs and moods
“I really liked the mat and we use the tokens everyday. I think the students enjoyed the booklets and learning about their energy levels as well, they had some good conversations about this. The videos were kind of hard of access and not the most relevant resource though.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The parent letters gave kids a real boost and we have cut out bits and put them on our goal sheet so that we can have those great comments with us always. The cards were a great idea, as they gave the kids something to focus on to boost their confidence
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? As we are a very small school, we were able to look at each child's card. It gave them something to focus on rather than the issue they were focusing on that day. It helped them start to see the bigger picture. Hopefully, we will continue to build this.
“My low level year 4-8 children struggled a bit with some of this. However, we are making it work for us. Everyone loved the parent letter - that was a great idea.”

I saw at as more helping them help themselves - giving them the power to know what to do when things are not going right. The cards give very specific activities for them to do to boost their charge and they can see the results.

“Our Charge station is still set up in the classroom and used. Its a great way for students to look at what they can do for others if they are in the green zone and helps us be aware of those students needing a quick conference to get them back on track. I really see this being used for the rest of the year. The students especially loved the photo activity where they got to guess something about an unknown person. Thank you. A great kit.”
