“Using this kit has been really good for the NE/Yr1 class that I have. For helping with the transitioning stage from ECE to school and all the emotions etc that come with that. Having the visual tokens, boxes etc brings all that we discuss to life. I have linked this resource to the schools PB4L and having time in the day to breath and take stock of how we are feeling. The red box sits on my table so that they can alert me and that I need to act on that and check in with the child. Can see the bigger potential for the older age ranges, however it is still a very good kit for the younger ones as they don't often have the language or confidence to speak out or tell the teacher. I will be using this kit again next year especially now I have a better insight on its use.”

How has this kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I didn't realise so many of my students wanted me to be a part of their circle of influence. I know the impact we have on students, but it was great to see they can see that and appreciate it too.
