“This kit was a great way to open discussions and provide a framework to discuss how the learners were feeling. Having to actively check in at the start of the day and after lunch was a good mindfulness moment. The resources were high quality and engaging. Seeing the familiar battery icon was a really nice way to connect the concepts of needing to recharge. We tried a couple of locations for our station, but found the area near the plants was the best spot to take a breath and think about things. The kit was a great way to introduce Māori and NZSL vocabulary around the topic of wellness and emotions. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to try this pack, I would highly recommend it to others. It really helped with resilience discussions. We were a year 3/4 class and it was pitched really well for us.”

How has this kit helped develop your student's self confidence? Great sections on self awareness in the booklet. I specifically liked how they had to reflect over a period of time to see how they had supported people around them. The paper booklet was great- much better than being online.

“I was unable to use the kit directly as originally planned due to unforeseen circumstances. However, members of my team used it in conjunction with their sexuality programme. Reports back said that it provided them with awesome discussion points and contexts that the girls could relate to. The kit was also shared at a parent evening to encourage/ support parents to re-inforce these themes. We definitely hope to use it again! Apologies for having to pass it on but please know that it has had an awesome impact and supported teacher upskilling also. The meter will be a permanent feature in our share teaching space.”
