What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? It fitted in with our inquiry topic which was based on social science but we were also exploring through literacy and visual arts. Our intentions were to use it through all these areas but obviously we haven't had a chance to complete the work yet.

“I like the open endedness - however in saying that it was almost too open ended. The website as a tool for resources was good but I found the resources were not overly useful in my planning. I found it hard to know where to start and in fairness we as a class did a lot of Kupe and Te Wheke last year so I was trying to not to re-do what I had done with a lot of my kids.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? I used it during Literacy- I found journals and articles that linked to Explorers and NZ history, so students could read and discover for themselves. The students used the information to write descriptive stories about who they are.
