In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? In writing, we wrote about the journey of the seed, instructions on how to plant. Reading the instructions, reading further on the vegetables. For science, looking at life cycles, growing plants and it linked in with maths unit of measure.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Re-planting this in our school garden. Starting up a gardening group and now we are looking at linking this to visual arts and creating some signs and gardening sculptures to spruce up and continue to build up our garden.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? I found that it was quite abstract for them and its a process as we are still growing our vegetables. We will continue to work on this and once our vegetables are harvested, we will be making some products or food recipe with them to complete the cycle an
My class absolutely loved the Little League Club. They loved that they had been invited to join an ''elite'' group when I presented them with the badges and set the scene for the club. They really enjoyed watching their plants grow and took great responsibility in watering them.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Writing the club letter.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We are continuing growing more seedlings with a view to sell them to fundraise for a World Vision gift for a poor farmer overseas.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Widened their knowledge of the range of vegetables available.
Great idea. Perhaps needed to start planting the seedlings earlier than allowed. Also, as a non-gardener, some more info on best way to grow the seedlings and transplant them would be helpful.
