What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? This was like a practice for having a real permanent school gArden and gave us lots of ideas about how to get one established.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We discovered that healthy food is also yummy food!

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We did Art with Vincent Van Gogh sunflowers. We grew bean seed to see them germinate inside a jar. We used bean seeds for Maths and would measure the growth of our plants after the holidays. The videos were awesome too. My 5 year olds especially loved the

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Children take their plants home and discuss benefits of eating vegetables with their family. Watch the plants grow and eat their bounty.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We discussed the health benefits of eating vegetables and looked a healthy food poster.

Also the code activity we will do again, writing instructions etc being the first part of the digital technologies curriculum.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We used LGL in our maths for measurement (how much water to give, measuring the length of the sprout! Also, we wrote letters in writing to the LGL.

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? What the vegetables look like once they've actually grown, how we can cook them/eat them.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Some of the kids at first didn't know the names of many vegetables so they were able to learn about different types and wanted to try new veges that they had learnt about in class.

“I loved the way the kit was complete and didn't need any extra resources. The children were very engaged in the 'club' aspect of the kit and how they were 'special helpers' and got very excited about working out the secret messages. The seeds grew quickly which added to the excitement of the whole programme.”
