How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? there are some that they don't know so we are looking forward to seeing how they grow. We are going to enjoy eating them. They were an interesting mix of vegetables - I wonder if tomatoes and cucumbers would be easier to grow/eat?
The children loved growing the plants and we have transferred them into the school gardens and they are visiting them daily to look after them. Lots of the activities have been a bit tricky for my 5yr olds but they have been very engaged

Kids are loving the development of their planets, watching the new sprouts break the surface and caring for them each day. So much fun and what a delight.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The students seem to have taken more motivation in the planting and growing of seeds more than the actual eating of vegetables. However, our plants are still small so I am hoping they will try some of them when they are ready to harvest.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Students have been able to recite many of the vegetable character names
I really enjoyed this kit last time we did it but for some reason I felt a little less knowledgeable of what I was doing. I think this comes down to not having the hard copies of all information in the box. I struggled to navigate the School Kit website a bit and often ended up looking in the wrong places when looking for things I had already seen. I am completely thankful for the plants and the children enjoyed filling out the application forms, it has just seemed a it less impactful (i.e. seeds are planted, now what?).

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The students talk A LOT about the different vegetables and fruit in their lunchboxes and what they eat at home. They also frequently talk about what their families are growing in their vegetable gardens at home.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Huge impact! The children can now identify the different seedlings and what vegetable/plant they are growing.
This was fabulous learning for my students. Their excitement to check on their seedling growth has been infectious. They frequently need to interrupt other learning to see how they are going and report back to everyone what is happening. They have regularly shared their learning with their parents who have commented on their plant knowledge and vocab. A wonderful kit for hands on learning!

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The class is excited about trying them. Veges are cool ! I'm sure we will come up with many fun uses for the vegetables that will continue to promote healthy eating.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? This was successful, many students discovered vegetables they hadnt seen yet, they loved the cartoon pictures and we look forward to watching the vegetable grow and produce.
The students loved this. The timing was perfect with the little gardens coming into New world too as the students had experienced the gardens but were so excited to be part of the secret club. We loved the game, the bunting, the mail box and the special letter that would allow us to receive a sectet badge. We were able to involve parents in the planting too.
