Which resources were most engaging and most useful to students? Yes, we particularly liked the primary sources. They were also colourful and appealing to our students. As we are trying to devloping key historical concepts and skills, many of the activities and lessons were associated around the resources so they were

Which resources were most engaging and most useful to students? Having hands on materials significantly increased the engagement of our learners.

“The students were genuinely engaged in this learning experience. Having the opportunity for them to research further into an area of New Zealand's history that is not often covered was eye opening for many. Having the hands on materials provided an extra layer of engagement. We finished the unit with students writing an essay on if they thought New Zealand should remain Nuclear Free or not. This allowed students to apply their learning in an authentic manner.”

What would you say the impact of this kit has been on your students? The ākonga loved learning about this topic. They were able to research, share knowledge, collaborate and practice presenting. The learning was a beautiful topic about caring for our world.

Which resources were most engaging and most useful to students? Engagement was mostly good, but we altered our programme to fit into our term plan slightly and to make sense of all the knowledge.
