“This was very useful as it provided great teaching and learning ideas that could be adapted for use with other resources. Lots of discussion around different viewpoints and evaluating the source of stories and information made it a very valuable resource. Almost too much to cover!”

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Yes. There are very limited stories for our local area at the moment. We are starting to gather local stories through Ngati Tuwharetoa Cultural Knowledge booklets. This format is a good teacher source

“This is an amazing resource! The links to each area of the ANZH curriculum is obvious, and thinks about viewpoints from many different sources. I think the pictures have been amazing - they have been an excellent introduction to the topic, talking about what might have happened here. Unfortunately I haven't been able to dive as deep as I have wanted to with it, but I look forward to continuing with it next year, and in the years to come!”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? It was good to have valuable resources and kits to back up what I was teaching. That boosted my confidence while taking students through the tasks.
