How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Majority of children able to communicate feelings effectively and play cooperatively. They have worked hard to either ignore the antisocial aggressive behaviours of a few children or at times stepped up to help an unsettled child feel better.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Many children able to talk about how to solve issues/problems that arise.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Class climate has been up and down this year, with many children enrolling from outside the area, several children have also left the school. Several children have had major episodes - highly aggressive, physical, swearing and this definitely influences
Well thought out resource. Kids loved the booklets.

Good resources and ideas - links well to PB4L which we have also introduced this term. Some of the resources are aimed at older children, but there is still a lot of information that can be used in NE/Y1 classrooms.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? As mentioned above, the students have been more inclusive of others.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The students have expanded their friendship groups and are more inclusive of each other within the class. My students have been thinking about others more and thinking about how they can show kindness to others.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? It has helped my students recognise their feelings better and how to communicate these to others. They have been more open to sharing with each other and more understanding of each other.
It was overly complicated for my new entrant class. We had a go but it was a bit over their heads. I then passed it on t to the year 3/4 class in my team and they had more success. Although the teacher at that level also commented that it could be simplified.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Because we used the components each week the children were able to get a good understanding of being respectful.
Children are learning to be more mindful of their actions, to be kind, empathetic, take turns, talk about how they feel and the actions that they can take when they are frustrated.

Loved this resource so much. It couldn't have come at a better time to use after the covid lockdown. The children loved the playlunch playdates and learnt to be friends with all the members of our collaborative class of 45.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Being able to move to the charging station for a recharge was great and saw some of my more ‘aware’ 5 year olds learn the skills to ask how they could help their peers and move to play with them.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Using the playground challenge has helped the children play with a variety of others - the tricky thing with a NE class is that there are always newbies joining the group.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Our children really enjoyed the scenarios and stories that helped them see what respect was.
I thought this kit had some good activities to use with my class. I liked the discussion cards and the play lunch project. They were engaging to my class and they loved putting stickers on each others charts - it was amazing having a different colour for each child! I felt that some of the activities were too advanced for my New Entrant class and it would have been better suited for probably year 2/3 age group. I really liked the connection with home postcards. It was great being able to link what we had been learning at school with home.

the playlunch project was interesting and took some time. worked well within our Te Wahre Tapa Wha work - sorry di this in Term 4. Will be using the ideas in term one next year - thank you. loved the range of activities this kit provided and will use the whanau sharing ideas and questions to build a collaborative classroom.
