It was cool to hear comments like... "I would never eat that in real life but in a cake beetroot was yummy and sweet", "I liked the hummus (chickpeas) ones the best and hummus is usually yuck".”

“Thanks for a great School Kit, yet again. Many of our children don’t bake in the traditional way. This was a thought provoking kit, with children having to do a lot of thinking about what the different parts of the recipe actually did, and how changing some of these would work. Surveying others for their thoughts, and having to find their own courage (for some) to actually try the different outcomes, was a great process to go through to encourage a growth mindset, alongside the science of it all. The children were astounded that you can bake with veggies, although we didn’t quite get the sweetness level right. This is a kit that we will use again next year. Ka may te wehi.”
