RSC804 – 4A Smart Battery Charger & Maintainer Reviews

4.7 Rating 19 Reviews
Good charger but the display on this model is flawed. The charging rate indicator is very small - similar to a mobile phone status bar icon, compared to the RSC806's display, which is much more prominent and so easier to read.

Bought your charger to replace an Oxford charger that had gone faulty and boiled by battery dry.I liked the specification of your charger but when it arrived I had to replace the terminals that fit on the battery as the holes in the terminals to fit a motorcycle battery and would be more suited to a car battery.apart from this I am impressed with the charger

I bought this to revive my classic car that had run its battery flat whilst I was on holiday. Old alarm systems clearly weren't built with energy consumption in mind. In this situation I wanted a charger that would do the same job as the more expensive versions - to boost it up to top, then trickle, and then to use as a maintenance charger. All seems well, very simple to use. I have fitted the loop connections to the battery terminals, so all I need to do is reconnect the exposed connector and it's doing its job (handily my car has the battery in the passenger footwell behind a small cover). The supplied connection options mean that I can also use the charger on my much newer car since the stop/start function only likes to work when the battery is brimming with energy. There was a time in between the ages of my two cars when they were well engineered enough to sit on a battery without it draining, and they weren't so damn clever that they need perfect battery charge, every setting carefully balanced, and unicorn tears in the windscreen wash to make them feel special enough to do what they're meant to.

I’m not really in a position to comment, as I realised I had bought the 4A which is way too slow for my needs , so returned it, and await my refund .
