“I did only few trips with that cameras. Quality of the picture is very good in my opinion, but I'm not expert. I love design, but 2/3 of the image of the front camera was a sky, as I couldn't move lens low enough. I printed some adapter between camera and windscreen to drop it a bit, and it's fine now. Cable lenght for rear camera if more than enough. I wish it would be few shorter cables, so I could use what I need, and not need to coil it up, but it's not a big issue. I'm really happy with a purchase, I believe I made a right choice, and I can recommend it for everyone who is looking quality product for great price.”
“Nice and discrete front camera with good quality image. integration of the back camera is good, saving a separate file to the front camera's files. Quality of image of back camera not as good as front but perfectly acceptable and saves memory. Cables nice and long, worked well in my estate car for a neat discrete install. Good value for money when bought as a bundle of front camera back camera and card. Software App ok . . . a bit under informing but works well. To gain full control of the camera best have the app running with your phone so you can protect and save files on the fly. Transfer of files to phone is slow so easiest and faster to remove card and transfer to computer. Love the magnetic mount which makes removal of the front camera super easy and convenient. I'm happy with this as a set up!”
“Video quality is fine. The installation was relatively easy once I found an online guide. However, this camera lacks a dedicated "save recording" button, and there is no way to turn off the on / off sound.
Also the instruction manual is severely lacking information about installation, operation and how to use the app. I had numerous issues downloading the app, as it said it wasn't available in my country in the Google play store (I'm in the UK). Ring also does not supply large micro SD cards, which is a bit of a shame.
The download speeds via the camera is painstakingly slow, so the only real way to get video of the camera is by taking the SD card out.”
“This was a nicely made compact d/cam, but sadly it didn’t seem to record all the time. Also linking to WiFi could be a bit erratic.
So overall I was sadly disappointed. Unit has been returned and waiting for a refund.”
