Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo Headset, USB-A, Black Reviews

4.2 Rating 6 Reviews
After owning the Evolve 65 , the step up to the Evolve 2 65 MS is without question worth it from a comfort and sound perspective . Anyone who has yet to purchase a headset , would not be disappointment in the acquistion of the Evolve 2 65

Bought this as an upgrade from the Evolve 65 (not 2) and unfortunately its overall a downgrade, despite being constructed very nicely with premium feeling materials and a great build quality - I wanted to love it! There are 2 x major issues: Firstly, the mic is right side only, whereas the previous model could swing both ways (I prefer on the left side). Maybe not a deal breaker for some, but I just found it constantly annoying. Secondly, the previous model has a hard headband which gradually built up pressure on the top of my head and become uncomfortable after a few hours. This model has attempted to fix that with a nice soft silicon pad, however the overall more solid build (and thus weight) and stronger materials mean that between the clamping force and extra weight it's mde it worse! I struggled to wear this headset for more than 30 mins at a time. Big sad. I also have an Engage 75 which is almost perfect, but it is tied to the dock for Bluetooth and PC connectivity, so you can't really use it for travelling. Still chasing the holy grail of headsets... Looking at the Evolve 75 it looks like it might suffer the same issues as the Evolve2 65.

I purchased a Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo, USB-A, Black for my husband as a Christmas present. He works from home but sometimes he travels to Sydney and needs to work in an open plan office and conduct meetings so he uses the headset for this. I wanted a headset for him that blocked out noise. I debated between this one and the one up from this that had noise cancelling. For cost reasons I purchased this one but I was concerned it would not block out as much noise as the reviews stated. Last week he used his headphones for the first time in the airport lounge. While he was in an online meeting loud messages were constantly being announced over the loud speakers, he said at the end of the meeting he had to apologise to the people online for all the noise that was happening in the background while they were meeting- however they all responded that they didn’t hear a thing! He said the headphones work a treat! They allow you to maintain a sense of professionalism when conducting a meeting when not in a private space. The headphones are excellent!

Excellent sound quality, good noise canceling and easy to use. Only one issue is that whilst the ear pads are soft, they are flat which means they can fall off your head if you make very sudden moves or lean over to far

All good except there’s no noise cancellation for the wearer, shielding him/her from ambient noise.
