“I never actually got to hear the subwoofer. I started by ordering an empty box for a Kicker Comp VR I already had. The cutout was 12 1/4" while the Kicker needs 11 15/16". With that kind of gap, there were always two screws with nothing to grab. So I sent it back and ordered the loaded box. It didn't come with a grill and the speaker was installed upside down. I called SKAR and they sent a universal grill, free. It is super thick, not the grill that is supposed to come with the box. Once the box is in, there is absolutely no way to lift up the carpet panel, and that is where I installed the amp, so no way to tune the amp. Or change the car battery if it goes out, unless you pull the box out. And I don't like that I can't use the plastic wing nut that keeps the taillight installed. I like my tailight secured. And this part is skipped over a little in the SKAR install video on Youtube. In fact, the guy explaining this part puts his hand right where you can not see what is going on at the taillight area. So...lots of issues. But the good...the guys at SKAR were super helpful and gave a refund on both boxes, so the customer service is absolutley top notch. So the box for me was a one star while customer support was 5 stars for a 3 star composite. I think if the box fit a little better I could have kept it, but I'll find a solution for my Scat Pack, eventually.”
